About サイトについて

A project of Outside The Camp blog.

From time to time this blog will feature a community of various contributors/authors/leaders aimed towards mutual encouragement and edification for Pastors, individuals, Churches (including non-Christians) that are interested in learning more about the centrality of the Gospel.

This blog:

  • seeks to foster Gospel-centered discipleship content for Japan’s context in an easy to understand English & Japanese.
  • Our aim is to serve both Japanese speakers/Japanese English-speakers,  and the international diaspora community.
  • The contents will be made free to be used by any Christian community that seeks to live out the truths of the Gospel in the family, workplace,  community, the church and the world.

When we use the term “gospel-centered,” we are simply promoting a way of following Jesus that is centered on the gospel of grace.  While all disciples of Jesus believe the gospel is central to Christianity, we often live as though religious rules or spiritual license actually form the center of discipleship.  Rather, we’re meant to apply the benefits of the gospel to our lives every day and not to merely bank on them for a single instance of “being saved.”  A gospel-centered Church or disciple returns to the gospel over and over again, to receive, apply, and spread God’s forgiveness and grace into every aspect of life.

Hence, the purpose of this blog is to enhance online/offline network, connect, share resources and information, and to promote the global cause of making Jesus known among the Japanese for God’s glory.
